(love is more thicker than forget, more thinner than recall, more seldom than a wave is wet, more frequent than to fail)
a great day, I love getting to revisit it through your eyes
ship graveyard, april 2012 (2nd visit)
we also went to the ship graveyard, i took claire and claire for their first visit there and my 2nd, it was good to go back. staten island is really cool from what i’ve seen from the bus ride through it and i want to spend more time there. we got caught this time going through the person’s yard and ran like animals through the brush and onto the ships, which was easy because the tide was low. another tkpk going through people’s backyards as kids moment. : ) we spent some time sitting still on a ship, listening to noises and then found the coast was clear so we started walking around. i climbed onto the cabin again and set my sights from above on different paths around the ships. i found a new goal destination which is the tugboat pictured in the 4th picture, but it’ll require a raft or a portable bridge or something to get to. claire filmed more for her project and we all climbed around. i think i saw a little sharpie drawing by one of my favorite artists which hadn’t been there before. : ) we went back cautiously through a scrap yard and then realized that the two houses on one side of us were both abandoned so we went through them safely and then through a little crack in the fence to the road. both explorations were successfully conquered this weekend, yeah!!! little adventures will have to happen a ton this summer.
